Rhythm Two Step
The Rhythm two step is a regional variation of the Texas two step and is almost exclusively danced here in Arizona. The timing is slow slow quick quick. The basic for this dance is side together side tap step tap, or going forward the same rules apply. The dance is relatively easy to learn at a basic level, but as the more advanced levels of country dance are reached the patters become more complex (Windows, Reverse Windows, Lariats, Laces).
The music for this dance is put in between a triple two step and a Texas two step. Although it can be danced to foxtrot tempo music the dance works best with something a little faster.
The Rhythm Two Step is a fun and interesting dance with many varied patters due to the step tap step tap nature of the basic step.
