DANCE COURSES
INTRODUCTORY COURSE
A great way for you to
learn some of the basic elements of dance, the different tempos of
music, and to get an understanding of what you would like your
dancing to do for you. This is our first stepping stone in
teaching students to become confident and comfortable social
dancers.
PRE-BRONZE COURSE
This course is a
short, (approximately 10 units) fundamentals of dance program
designed to get you out on the dance floor. You will learn
approximately 4 patterns in 4-6 dances and the lead or follow
skills necessary to execute the patterns. The styles and
techniques that separate the dances are not addressed in this
course.
BRONZE COURSE
Bronze is synonymous
with social level of dance. In a short period of time, the
Bronze social dancer gains the poise and confidence which enables
them to dance with a variety of partners to a variety of music.
You will focus on technique and the development of strong lead or
follow skills, skills necessary for comfort, appearance, and good
movement. This course will give you the ability to dance with
confidence. Completing a Bronze Course is a real accomplishment.
SILVER COURSE
The SILVER DANCER
focuses on continuity and the development of greater skill, pattern
knowledge, technique, style and flourish.
GOLD COURSE
Gold is a program for
the life-long student of dance. You will continue to develop
skill and technique to the highest level.
